The LINC project presents the webinar: Beyond the hype of collective autonomous mobility? - Experiences from a joint exploration of innovating public transport to grow sustainable city development along the future Greater Copenhagen Light Rail

Let this be your autonomous vehicle call for the autumn fall! Hop on and save the date for the final LINC webinar to get insights on autonomous collective mobility.

LINC is one of the largest projects working with autonomous collective mobility in Denmark. Here AV shuttles have been tested in urban environments with passengers – many of whom are daily users of public transport. The project builds on a vision to provide a first-/last mile service to the future Greater Copenhagen Light Rail that will support and strengthen the use of the light rail. During the project we collected hands-on experience to support municipal planners in pursuit of sustainable and liveable cities.

The journey to get AVs on the streets of Denmark

Hear about the projects long journey to get AVs on the streets in Denmark. Denmark may be one of the most challenging countries in Europe to deploy autonomous vehicles on public streets in mixed traffic. LINC – and similar projects – have invested years to get legal permissions. Get a unique insight in the danish legal process and suggested improvements on how the legal framework can be improved in Denmark and at EU-level to balance a fast and safe deployment. 1.000 students, staff, and visitors at DTU have joined a user panel to test the AV shuttles and share their expectations and experiences. At the webinar you will get access to hands-on user experience and behavior from surveys, travel along interviews, focus group interviews, analysis of interaction with other road users and operational experiences. Demand-driven public transport

Data about the usage of the AV shuttles have been collected using a developed smartphone sensing platform. This is not only a smart way to collect user data, but it can also be utilized to improve monitoring mobility patterns for a more demand-driven bus-service in the future. Other utilizations such as MaaS solutions and smart ticketing will also be discussed when you join us to hear more about how we can make the most of our public transport with supportive IOT-solutions. Potentials for autonomous collective mobility and sustainable city development

Collective and autonomous shuttles have a potential to transform urban planning in a more sustainable way. This requires that autonomous vehicles will be collective, systemic, and connected. Usually, we think of autonomous shuttles solely as technology. This is true, but we also need to consider how our cities potentially can benefit from better and cheaper public transport. At the webinar we explore how a shared mobility service can be better integrated in urban planning, so we can achieve the sustainable and liveable cities we dream of. Experience partnertalks with:
