AVEIRO Steam City at the Portugal Smart Cities Summit
Aveiro STEAM City project attended the Portugal Smart Cities Summit, between 21st and 23rd of May in Lisbon. The event is the biggest conference and exhibition dedicated to Smart Cities in Portugal.This year´s edition had more than 100 speakers, 21 municipalities, 40 startups, 60 companies from different countries and the exhibition area welcomed 7000 visitors and guests. The topics under discussion cover a wide catalogue of areas, from smart mobility to digital transformation, water sustainability and happy cities.
The City of Aveiro, as the Main Urban Authority and project leader, introduced Aveiro STEAM City and its ambitions to all the participants and took this opportunity as a stepping stone of the capitalization activities that are scheduled to take place during project´s lifetime. Participation in EU forums and initiatives, as well as other European and International events and networks are fundamental to capitalize projects results to a wider audience, as a strategic approach to attract potential stakeholders that can benefit from Aveiro STEAM City outcomes and to promote transfer of knowledge.
