United Nations Habitat III Regional Meeting in Prague

Prague
UIA will take part in the UN Conference Habitat III Europe Regional Meeting "European Habitat", taking place in Prague from the 16th to the 18th of March 2016.

“European Habitat” will involve a wide range of participants from Europe and North America to discuss the challenges of Sustainable Housing in Liveable Cities and of how to ensure decent, adequate, affordable and healthy housing for all. Participants will debate regional priorities for the New Urban Agenda, and elaborate policy recommendations in the form of a final regional participants' declaration.

UIA will be part of the panel discussion during the workshop on “Cities in motion of energy transition: how technology and data help urban development”, that will take place on the 16th of March from 16:00 to 17:30 (Meeting Hall I). The workshop will present innovative projects on energy efficiency, use of RES or energy poverty which use data and technology to help the cities deal with energy planning. It will also aim at discussing the policy improvements municipalities and regions can adopt when taking into account the available data and innovative solutions and the role of municipalities and regions in national or global policy debates on urban energy management.
