Porto Applicant Seminar
The UIA Initiative held a one-day event in Porto on 07 December 2016 in order to support applicants wishing to apply to its second Call for Proposals. The event took place in a former Customs House located by the Douro river, and converted into a conference centre. It also hosts the Museum for Transports and Communications.
Participants had the opportunity to discuss useful questions on preparing an application, such as how to benchmark your idea or how to co-design your proposal with the relevant Stakeholders, and got useful tips from 1st Call projects. The UIA team also presented key principles of the Call, including the eligibility rules, the Application Form and the Call 2 topics, and was available for questions.
On this page you can download the full presentation of the day together with the agenda.
The second Call will be launched in November 2016 and will be dedicated to three topics: Integration of migrants and refugees, Circular economy and Urban mobility. The Call will close in March 2917.
Two other applicant seminars will be held:
- 19 January 2017 in Thessaloniki, Greece
- 26 January 2017 in Budapest, Hungary
If you intend to apply or are interested in learning more on the Call, and couldn't make it to Porto, you are invited register to one of these other events!
Please note that there are 200 seats available at each event but that priority will be given to urban authorities, as they are the main beneficiaries of the UIA, and that only one person per organisation will be accepted. There will be no registration on the spot.
