Getting ready for the Green Waste Challenge

Project : Antwerp Circular South - engaging the community in an online and offline circular economy

Short description
One of the goals of the Circular South project is to raise awareness of the New South residents with regards to their individual waste sorting behaviour. We have initiated several waste challenges. This way we motivate the residents to actively contribute to keep materials in the cycle. The first challenge will take place in April. Spring is in the air and we expect a good buy-in from the community with this start.

Sporting community event made the duo’s, landlords and social workers connect on an equal basis

Project : CURANT - Co-housing and case management for Unaccompanied young adult Refugees in ANTwerp

Short description
The CURANT community had the opportunity to play sports and get to know each other at our latest community event in February. Around 20 youngsters participated in initations of volleyball, hockey and badminton. One conclusion: the young refugees have lots of talent for sports and are proud to show them to their buddy.

BRIDGE wants to ensure that young people from South Rotterdam have good job opportunities right now. But more than that needs to be done so that the results of BRIDGE are permanent. Therefore, a great deal of work is being carried out on the Regional Skills Agenda. Work is changing at a rapid pace and it is, therefore, important to examine the skills young people will soon need to have a good chance of finding a job.
