Urban Infra Revolution - training partners and public on construction methods
First theme was lectured and discussed indoor and then in August we implemented site visits to see and experience concretely main characteristics of the industry. Site visits included preschool site and block of flats site.
UIR project participated Greenreality Carnival in Lappeenranta in the end of August. In the stand of UIR material development was introduced with 3 example minicylinders, made from: concrete, geopolymer composite including recyclable materials 56% and geopolymer composite including recyclable materials 83%. There was also a short questionnaire, in which people were asked to compare materials, choose the best and think where this material could be used. In addition, people could touch and examine lab-scale miniatures, that were printed of plastics describing citizens’ ideas about pilot products. There were lots of organizations and association presenting their actions in the Carnival. In the stage theatre, circus and music groups and humoristic researcher presented attractive and talented performances. The Greenreality Carnival gathered about 2500 visitors.
