Steering Committee of the AS-FABRIK project
Also present at the Steering Committee meeting were Xabier Ochandiano, Councillor for Economic Development, Trade and Employment, and Gotzone Sagardui, Councillor of Bilbao and Head of the Mayor’s Office, Contracting and Human Resources. They stressed the relevance of the project both from the perspective of employment and economic development in Biscay, and contextualized the project in the midst of the long-term strategy of the city and the future of Zorrotzaurre, an industrial brownfield that will be recovered for the city, and where this project will act as a spearhead of its transformation.
After the intervention of both the Mayor and the City Councillors, representatives from all the partners had the opportunity to discuss the progress of each of the project’s work packages, and to define the way forward in each one of them.
