Start of construction

Start of construction
Ready to start – the construction sign and the fence are unmistakable indications: The construction site is set up.

In mid-July 2021, the time has finally come: the bulldozers roll in and the construction fence together with the construction sign at Marienburger Straße 15 are clear signs of the start of construction. First the bulldozers will prepare the ground for the four buildings than the foundations can be poured and the staircases constructed. After the underground pipes have been laid, the building site will be quiet again. Over the next few months, the entire residential complex will be built in the factory using the timber module construction method. The establishment and assemble of the modules will be done in sections. It takes only a few days on site at a time over several weeks. This ensures that the neighbourhood is hardly affected by construction noise and traffic.

The planning phase has been completed and the official start of construction was  formally celebrated with the ground-breaking ceremony on 13 July 2021. The ceremony on Marienburger Straße was attended by MEP Manfred Weber, Mayor Alexander Putz, President of Lower Bavaria Rainer Haselbeck and representatives of the project partners.
Manfred Weber, Member of the European Parliament, praised the concept of “home and care”, the only German project, as unique, innovative and pioneering in Europe.

A step in project implementation – a milestone for our society and the City of Landshut!
