Javier Ayala presented Milma project in the II global forum of local governments, celebrated in Sevilla.
On 24th January, the Mayor of Fuenlabrada, Javier Ayala, went to Sevilla and participated on the II Global Forum of Local Governments. The Forum was celebrated in Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos of Sevilla and around 75 cities throughout the world were represented , like Mexico, Brazil, France, Portugal or the United States. Some topics discussed on the Forum were smart cities, sustainability, inclusion and tourism.
His Majesty King Felipe VI, attended the Forum, among other personalities like The First Vice-President of the Spain Government Carmen Calvo, and Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Function, Meritxell Batet.
Ayala presented MILMA Project, since it is considered innovative in terms of social inclusion, employment and entrepreneurship. Moreover, Javier Ayala, explained that MILMA is co-financed by the European Regional and Development Fund through the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative. The Mayor of Fuenlabrada, stressed the importance of being chosen among other 206 projects from 21 European cities, on the Second Call of Proposals.
Furthermore, Ayala explained that the Project has a budget of 4,5 million of euro and will be developed in Fuenlabrada until 2020. The objective of MILMA is generate an efficient and innovative model of access to employment, and develop new mechanisms to facilitate the labor insertion of unemployed people.
Finally, Javier Ayala also joined another discussion space related to inclusion politics, where Fuenlabrada has a lot of experience.
