The Urban Development Network Workshop will take place in Cork on 27th March 2018. The workshop is organised by the Commission, the Committee of the Regions, the Southern Regional Assembly and the City of Cork as hosts. Members of the UIA Permanent Secretariat will take part together with representatives from UIA projects.

The workshop is open to the cities and towns in Ireland implementing sustainable urban development but also organisations active in urban development as well as ERDF/ESF Managing Authorities. With the aim to exchange ideas and find solutions to common challenges in implementing sustainable urban development strategies, Urban Innovative Actions has been invited to take part to the event. Members of the Permanent Secretariat will present the main principles and opportunities offered by the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative while representatives of the city of Lille and Szeged, winners of the previous Call for Proposals, will share their perspectives and experiences. The workshop will be closed with an Urban Conversation framed within the Committee of the Regions' initiative entitled "Reflecting on Europe". Citizens will have the opportunity to dialogue with European institutional representatives on the current challenges that the EU face.
