European Week of Regions and Cities logo
The European Week of Regions and Cities (formerly the Open Days) is the annual event organised by Committee of the Regions and DG Regional and Urban Policy for cities and regions. It will take place in Brussels from 10 to 13 of October 2016. UIA 's interactive session on 11th of October is already fully booked!

As every year, local and regional authorities, national and European decision makers, programmes and associations will gather in Brussels to exchange and learn about how to implement the Cohesion Policy, showcase their good results and how they can have an impact on European good governance. The event welcomes every year  6000 participants around workshops, exhibitions, debates and networking opportunities. This years' edition will be focused on three topics:

  • Sustained and sustainable economic growth
  • Inclusive economic growth
  • Making ESI Funds simpler

UIA will be hosting an interactive session on "Solutions for sustainable urban development from cities in the second Call for Proposals". Come and meet us on Tuesday 11th of October from 11:15 to 13:00, in Atrium 5!  Code of the workshop is URB11C33.
